If you try to use that terminology on a construction site, you will get laughed off the site and probably not be able to find a job in that area again. Joist and Truss refer to the construction of the support not their placement in the building. I typically use roof joists and floor trusses because I want an open construction plan with an insulated roof. So, the polar opposite to your incorrect explanation.
Fake news
This guy trolling?
NONSENSE Bar Joists – Spanner Trusses SAME THING. This Guy is simply MISTAKEN
I wonder why he hasn't taken down his video? Must be a flat earther
I feel as though autism is now contagious and I have come in contact with patient zero.
Sad how would you spell JOISTESS? Joists NOT JOISTESS. So I guess a railroad truss bridge would be a railroad JOISTESS? LMAO guy I feel for you.
A truss is a framework, regardless of where or how it's used. A joist is a length of beam used to support a structure. Saying "floor joist" means anything used to support a floor. Saying "floor truss" specify's a flat truss framework to support a floor…
btw, there are also Roof Joist….
Wow, that was wrong from the start to the end.
There's absolutely nothing in this video that is correct.
nice try from a Sheet Metal worker
